After thousands of tests and hundreds of observations, scientists have come to discover that watching television is bad for your health. They have also discovered that it is most severe when enjoying an episode of “The Office.” This is shown especially in the most recent season.
With 28 episodes and approximately 2.8 billion ROTFLOL’s, 5.6 thousand tears of joy and four moles (mole= 6.022×1023) of hospital visits due to torn smiling muscles, season five has definitely been a great experience. But let’s delve a smidge deeper into the facts to see why season five was so epic.
The season begins with Pam leaving for New York to go to art school, Jim proposing to her at a gas station (she says yes of course), Jan has a baby that isn’t Michael’s (sperm bank . . . yuck), Michael starts dating Holly (resulting in the office being robbed), Angela has an affair with Dwight while she is engaged with Andy (she is found out and both relationships deteriorate) and Toby returns from Costa Rica (is sabotaged by Michael who tries to frame him with drugs [caprese salad]).
Along with that, Holly moves to the Nashua Branch (they end their relationship), Michael quits his job (after conflicting with the new Regional Vice President Charles), Michael starts the Michael Scott Paper Company (along with Pam and Ryan), they rejoin Dunder Mifflin after taking their business and in the last episode Pam has a big surprise.
Although the season was full of laughs and surprising moments, there were definitely some odd aspects. Lately it has seemed that loads of characters are acting differently than they normally do. Michael has actually made some good decisions, which is not normal Michael. Phyllis has also become snotty and rude. Along with that, Andy has developed a completely different character that changes from episode to episode.
But, in perspective, “The Office” season five has been a fantastic season, and I definitely suggest you watch it.
